To get a more linear power curve and prevent spiking in the mid range and boost drop off in the top end instead of taking the wastegates source from the turbo take it from the plenium as there is a pressure drop over the std intercooler and piping.

I think you need somthing called a check valve but.. The GTIR's use this system i guess the R32's were just older technology then the R33 went straight the ECU controlled boost.

ok if that went over your head.

Usually when the wastegate sees that say 7psi has been reached, it reads that 7psi from directly in front of the turbo therefor by the time the air has passed through the intercooler and through the piping to the Inlet Plenium chamber there is a pressure drop.

Also with the stock IC it becomes a restiction over around 5000rpm that is why you will see a psi drop on your guage. By reading from the inlet plenium (where your guage does) you will make the turbo work just that little bit harder to hold the required psi as the volume of air at highrev's (consumption) will not be able to flow as quick enough compared to when the motor is at half rev's (consumes less)

Hope that makes sense ppls..

Launching with traction is as easy as "launching with traction".

Rear wheel drive wise you would do well to bog it down off the start a little. Try 2000rpm clutch slip to give a smooth take off. On the stock turbo they boost as soon as 2300rpm so there is scant time to get rolling before power comes a knocking. The best strategy is to get rolling before stomping the gas pedal real hard.

Full boost launches are for guys with sticky rubber or 4wd, by full boost I mean 3500rpm or higher. Just rev as much as the rubber can hold on take off and no more. Wheel spin takes time to go away once started.

Try a 2000rpm clutch slip against an Auto V8 Commo...

I need to do a 3500rpm clutch slip any less and they kill you off the line.

Can you sort of explain in a bit more detail exactly how to plumb the bleed valve off the plenium rather thant he actuator line?
cheers,
JP

Simple.

Instead of running the hose from the wastegate actuator to the connector in front of the turbo run the hose to the plenium chamber.

You will however need or require a one way valve that will prevent vacuum from sucking through the bleed setup obviously. i.e the Brake booster has one of these check valves so when it is on boost air does not blow in to it.

Understand.

there is a tube coming off the actuator that goes somewhere (not sure) and my bleed valve is t'd off it... so he's saying i should run the bleeded end and bleed into my plenium rather than atmosphere?

nah bro... just been workng and shit havnt had a chance to get to a computer too

Yes... No... I'm not sure what the correct answer is, I can't see it so I have no clue

Ok... Follow the hose that comes off the actuator, find ot were it goes. If it goes infront of the turbo, cap off were it goes in and run it to your plenium. But you still have to put a check valve in there too... I think
