HELP!! again. Idling at 3000rmp!! Auto choke stuck on? or what it really embarassing!

Well my car seems to like to come up with new probs when everything is running smooth!
So ne ways im idling at very highspeeds but only some times its like the suto choke is open up full and it dont need to be its really pissing me off when i pull up at lights and it at 3000rmp, what the hell is the problem??? i keep gettin dragged by ppl who think im some ricer ina blood civic pls help me.......

So you can't pass 3000 rmp? U need a new distributor.

or is your car idling at 3000? Don't know what the problem is, had that happen on my old accord. It would get so hot it would start smoking. Got rid of the car cause I had too many other problems with it

I had a similar problem, turned out that the spring on the throttle body wasn't closing the butterfly all the way, I pulled it off and cut about 3/4" off of it and rebent the end so it looked the same only tighter. If that isn't it I'd check FITV or EACV.

Sometimes my car will idle at 2000 but if i put my foot under the gas pedal and pull it towards me the idle goes down to 500-700 where it is usually

My car idles at 1200 when running right... tach's off a little... Jacobs Ignition
