Aurora Collectable ?

With the ending of Olds, what are the odds that the "old Style" '99 or earlier, will be a collectable/keeper? I have a '98 w/65K Autobahn with absoulutely all the bells and no blemishes.
Could this be a car that I should pack on Ice and hold onto? Like a 68 Camaro or a 67 Boss?

It would be nice to hang on to and store it away for posterity - but I think Aurora's are made to be driven, so look after it but still drive it.
That's my 2 cents anyway.

P.S. It's not "old Style" it's "Classic"

Re: Aurora Collectable ?

Honestly I doubt it, it was a significant model so it has that going for it, but when you think of collector cars whats their appeal.

Does the Aurora have that appeal to the public now?
I wasn't around in '69 but wasn't that car extremely appealing then, every little boys dream type of thing? Aurora?

Re: Aurora Collectable ?

as a collector it has quite a few things going for it,its style that it didnt share with any other gm clones,a double overhead cam v8, long lasting leather interior...the start up of ACNA..just look at the buzz on this site compared to other cars out there... right now they are going cheap enough, in a few years good examples should maintain their value, you can probably count the beautiful american cars of the ninties on one hand, and if you are reading in this forum you likly own on of them..news
