handbrake question

My car has rear drum brakes. I'm just wondering will using the handbrake to slow the car down in any way damage the hanbrake? Don't ask why I would use it to slow down anyway, just bored sometimes in the car and since its so hard to lock the rear wheels I sometimes do it!! I'm just thinking that the handbrake cable might snap one day? I'm not too sure! any comments appreciated! thanks!

No damage, Pull real hard and maybe over time you could stretch the cable??? But I wouldn't bet on it.

Re: handbrake question

Be careful. Serious injury is at risk when you do things like that.
