Guage Face Overlay Issue

Hey everyone. Im the one with the 2.5L inline 4 1998 Ford Ranger. I finally drove it at night and noticed one of the light bulbs on the guage face is burnt out or not lit up. Either way I was planning on replacing it. The problem is the guage face doesnt have an rpm guage or tacometer, w/e you wanna call it. I was wondering when I buy a whole new guage face overlay that has a tachometer on it will it all work correctly even though the one I currently have doesnt have one? Im not sure on those kinds of things. I was looking at one of these to buy if it helps.

No it won't work. The white face gauges list a 98 w/o tach. If you call I'm sure they have the others w/o tach. Try a ebay search, they'll be cheaper, but you have to get faces w/o tach. You could get a new gauge cluster with a tach off ebay. Your truck will already have the wiring connection for a tach, it will just be a plug in & your finished. Just be sure to get one for a 98-00. Good Luck!
