well, the insurance company is going to send me a check for $3,700 to fix my car, and i thought of something. if i had a bodykit that came with a hood and side fenders i could get that and get a paint job for $600 and have enough money to fix my tranny with.
are there any full bodykits for our cars? how much are they, any carbon fiber hoods? if i can pull this off, it will make me the happiest man in my city. help me out guys

see that side fender. its not the fact that i want a bodykit cause i sorta like the stock look best. but doing this would save me money, and then result in me getting my trannie fixed. so do any of the bodykits come with side fenders? cause thats the most important part if i can get that maybe just that piece for a good price i can do really good actually just the side fender and carbon fiber hood and paint the car black how bout that

Re: Alright guys, i need your help!!
C-Wings I believe makes OEM style double sided carbon fiber fenders and OEM style hoods
The hood is $380 http://www.andysautosport.com/mitsub...00gthoods.html and the fenders are $475 http://www.andysautosport.com/mitsub...gtfenders.html for the pair. Also, at the bottom of this page: http://www.andysautosport.com/mitsub...otherkits.html which is for the body kits, they have an intersting V-speed body kit or what ever which looks like it would be pretty nice. Finally a decent looking front end in my opinion for the 91-93 style GT. Reminds me of the C- West look on like Rx7s and Supras.

Re: Alright guys, i need your help!!
Anytime man. Yeha the Bomex side skirts are nice because they are suppose to have top quality, as for your light, I guess you just have to go to a junkyard and find a new unit if it is smashed up, or you could go ebay I guess
If you want, there is a sleek headlight set you can special order http://sleeklights.tripod.com/ check these things out, they kinda stand out from the crowd a bit ehh? drop me a line if you need anymore help finding stuff.

Re: Alright guys, i need your help!!
Yeah it does seem a bit tough cause the site looks ghetto. The second gen lights would require alot of work and money. You would need new headlight buckets welded on as well as a new radiator support. As well as the lights, new bumper and turnsignals, you would need a new hood and bulb wiring harness. 3sx: http://3sxperformance.com/body.asp sells a 3rd Gen style front end but it would cost around 2500 without labor to put in. The 2nd gen front end uses the same buckets and radiator support and hood as the 3rd sor if you want you could just get all that done and find a cheaper set of 2nd gen lights, bumper and turn signalls to slap on and spend about 1500-2500 on the 2nd gen stuff.

Re: Alright guys, i need your help!!
Sry to double post but you can also do a snake eye conversion on your car where bassically th lights don't wlip up and the light comes out of the little slits in the front of the car where those little clear inserts are normally. I have this on mine and it looks like a beast at night time. So intimidating. but the light emission is a bit on the lacking side so I wouldn't reccomend it if you have trouble with lighting at night time. also they sell variable light pop up controllers where you can adjust the angle of your pop up lights to give it that Euro feel or that drift feel. this looks really nice too and costs about 80 bux.

Re: Alright guys, i need your help!!
You could always take that 2k and go get a RPS lightened flywheel and ACPT carbon drive shaft to lighten up your drive train and make the most of the power from you car. I think that would help with some drivetrain lost from AWD. Also, you can get a limited slip differential. I think the combination of these things would work wonders considering you already have a highperformance clutch. The faster your Revs pick up the faster your car gets going. all in all those thing swould cost about 2500 not installed so if you ever get 3k to blow, I would suggest that. After that you'll be ready for a killer turbo set up. I'm just talking though.... cause thats alot of money, but money well spent. cause I don't see to many people taking their drive train into consideration besides a new clutch. I mean without it there would be no way to get power to the ground. Then again this might be going a bit to far into turning a nice street car into an expensive and complicated race car.

Re: Alright guys, i need your help!!
nah, i've been plotting on getting a lightend flywheel.
but after the basically $1,500 to fix the car with a body kit and paint job, the $2,400 i would fix my trannie and get some rims and or a sound system. my stock speakers just aren't cutting it anymore

The insurance company just sent you a check for the cash? No rider? Wow. Whenever the insurance company has sent a check for repairs for one of my cars, its always in my name and the place thats doing the work.
Given all that, I suggest you get the tranny fixed first and then work on getting those body panels replaced and painted.

well, you could always buy a used good fender off of 3si, buy a used tranny, or get it fixed, how ever much thats going to cost, i, personally, wouldn't spend too much more than a grand on tranny repairs, and then with the left over money, you can do a 99 front end conversion and be the happiest man alive
