God, I hate this country

Hi, I live in BC, Canada and I hate this place, it's got nothing. It has no racing schools, the nearest(and ONLY) track is in mission which is an hour drive, there is mostly drag racing there, they have road racing like once or twice a month, plus it costs even more money just to get in. I live around the tri-city area, and unless you want to be bored out of your mind, don't come here. One time I even asked one of my friends here, I said "what the h*ll is there to do here?", he said "I don't know". I hate this country, it's also a f*cking pain to find a place to even autocross, even in vancouver, this place really sucks, blows, etc,... Not to mention only 2 places to motocross both which are miles away to drive to. And one last thing, the drivers here SUCK! If you watch the drag racing events, people driving twin turbo supras will get into the high 15s, some even stall their engines, gee if only driving was this easy. Oh yeah, I forgot, there ain't NO f*cking schools here, no wonder they suck so much.

"the nearest(and ONLY) track is in mission which is an hour drive"

the closest track to me is... hmmm... there is a drag strip in saskatoon 2 and a half hours. real tracks are going to be probabley in the next province.

"Not to mention only 2 places to motocross both which are miles away to drive to"

once again, none anywhere near me. hours and hours away.

", people driving twin turbo supras will get into the high 15s, some even stall their engines, gee if only driving was this easy"

there isnt even any supras here. the only ones there are here is the ancient ones. i have not seen 1 mk IV i think the newest ones are?

hell when i had my sunbird i used to go out and race kids some nights for the hell of it. and half of the kids had no idea whatsoever how to drive. You think you live somewhere boring... i live in the country, in Saskatchewan.

Yet, i manage to keep busy most of the time.

Deep River Ontario Canada here... Quit complaining about it buddy, people like you give our country a bad name.

Dont complain about that kind of crap dude, How many drag strips are there in Canada? Not a whole hell of a lot. How many motorcross tracks are there in Canada? Not a whole hell of a lot.

I live in a town with a population of about 2500..probably not even that many...I know what the deffinition of bored is.

But instead of bitching and complaining, I go and do something about it, We didnt have a skatepark, or a community basketball court, we raised money, and now have both. If you want a motorcross track, gather up some friends, find someone willing to donate land, and build one. If you want a drag strip...same thing, probably more expensive, but still.. Work for what you want, dont complain about what you dont have.

Now, I've probably come across as a prick, which Im trying not to be, but thats just how my words come out. I respect the fact that you are pissed off because there is no-where to showcase the ability of you, your vehicle, or dirt bike. So, why not make a road trip with some friends to a drag track, I know of a few in Canada, Make a trip up to one of them for a weekend.

if it's that wide open, find a spot where nobody is and just run there. if you want to be really creative see if you can work with the cops to get some kind of car show going.

and for the love of god steal the Supra's from the people that are embarassing them. i rarely drive a car with a manual tranny and i could still break into 14's with a Supra TT

Re: God, I hate this country

Alright so I just came back from a drive, 3 things happened:

1) I was driving around a parking lot trying to find my way out, then this old school civic SiR backed out, and jumped in front of me out of nowhere and started screaming at me. How do I feel? People like this find it hard that any fault of this was theirs.

2)I was turning right onto a 2 lane road (there is an intersection on my left), and I needed to quickly turn left after so I went onto the far lane when it was clear (wasn't supposed to, but I needed to), and this ass was turning left at the intersection at 60ks and ending up almost rear ending me. He honked me, then he went into the other lane to cut me off purposely without signalling.

3) I was turning left on an intersection, and on the opposite side of the road a van needed to turn right, but I came to the intersection first, and when all was clear I just went, then the van came up behind me and honked me, I was about to flip the bird at this b*tch but there was a cop in front of me.

All this was just today, goes to show that a bunch of people here can't drive. Plus I always see these young teenagers on litre bikes with nothing but a helmet and a backpack on, cutting off people by a few feet from my front bumper without signalling. I hope these kids just die, and you know what the funny thing is? The big guys riding harley davidsons have more manners than these kids with no moral.

To Sony Mobile:
What is the point having a government or sccbc, when you gotta do every fucking thing yourself? Besides, do I have the time? No. I am driving around trying to find a job, and figuring out how to pay my F*CKING tuition fees AND my F*CKING insurance at the same time. My insurance is 2500 CAD per year, my tuition fees is 4500 CAD per year, now I don't even got a f*ckin' job. But there are some days where I want to do what I want and just relax right? These are the days I WANT to go racing, if there was a track at most a 20 minute drive then I would be ALOT more happy, i'd probably go there twice a week or so.

No, it isn't that wide open, the stupid govt is rebuilding roads that don't really need rebuilding, and there are GHOST cars everywhere, you can barely tell if it is a cop or just a regular car.

At least you DO get a chance to race. Personally, I'd prefer to see NO supras than to see them riced. People even rice up preludes here

Hey, Newb, since the rest of your posts are generally reasonable, I won't tell you to shut the hell up.
Have you ever lived anywhere else?
If you have you would know that your description is generally the same as anywhere else.
We are all a little bored, all the race tracks are far away. We all pay too much for auto insurance (your rates are not bad for a younger make with a (likely) sporty car. Tuition sucks, but its a lot more in the States. (How does $15,000+ US sound?)
BC is a beautiful place. If you want a crappy place for a car enthusiast come to Toronto in January.
At least you live in a temperate climate, you have a car and the opportunity to go to school and some free time.
You have got it good, man.
But, hey, if you don't think so, then move!

Well, I am posting in the right forum aren't I? So you really can't argue against the fact that I am pissed at the place I live in now.

Yes, as a matter of fact I HAVE lived elsewhere. In the US, you don't have a monopoly like we do, you get to choose what prices you want to pay right? 15000 USD is outrageuous, but to make it up, you guys earn more don't you? And no, I don't drive anything sporty, I have a 93' Toyota Corolla Station wagon. My bro drives a 2002 civic and he has to pay over 4 grand per year.

BC IS a beautiful place, but it's all because of the fact that it doesn't have much of the tall skyscraper buildings kinda look, that blocks out the natural environment. I know BC isn't perfect, but I am just pissed right now. It's really easy for you guys to say "you don't like it? MOVE", but I don't have the money, after I am through with BCIT, I am the hell out of here and that is that.

This place is good place to live, but you got these macho guys tryin' to be gangsta, these potsmokers that don't have anything better to do, and especially the drivers, the drivers follow you home just to tell you that you should stop at a stop sign if you accidently ran it.

BTW, Have you even lived in BC before? especially the tri-city area.

Ohhhh.....I am insulted now, boy!!!
What the fuck makes you think I'm an American??

If I was an American and you said that BC and Canada sucks, I wouldn't care now would I?
Frankly, I have no objection to your ranting. Its highly entertaining, because you have it so good.

Sure, Vancouver drivers suck, because half are too busy lighting the doobie, and the other half came from a country where they drive on the left side of the road, like I did!!!

I know because I did live there!!

Re: God, I hate this country

Well I thought you were american cuz you referred to USA as "the states", and you know what the price of insurance is.

Oh, you wouldn't know if I had it good or not, you'd have to come here and watch me live my miserable life.

Vancouver drivers DO suck, they smoke pot, talk on a cellphone, and shift in their little stick shifts with a short throw knob, and drinking coffee all simultaneously.
