91 cavalier 2.2 wont stay running

Ok i been reading a lot of post on here about ppl haveing so much trouble with 91 cavaliers .2.2 4 cly. Im trying to see if any 1 has a clue on how i can get mine up and running right. Heres the problem im haveing. It will start up and run for about 1 to 2 min. then spit and sputter then die then wont start back up. acts just like it loses all power to the spark plugs and to the injector . walk away for about 30 min, and it will start back up and spit and sputter and die again .so i went and got lots of new parts /like a new computer/ new crank sensor/ new idol control sensor/new m.a.p.sensor/ new coils/new plugs and wires/the fuelfilter and pump /and fuel injector. was replace right before i got it .replace all the new parts and still does the same things im lost. im no macanhic but ask 1 for some ideals and he said the crank sensor shood do but it didnt . has any have a ideal what the heck is going on with the stupid thing . email me at [email protected] or a reply post.thanks for looking and getting back to me Alan Going

Re: 91 cavalier 2.2 wont stay running

its obviously something caused bye the car warming up, if it sounds like its chocking out it could be the cat converter clogging up, try unhooking the exaust to see, my only other guess is maybe u got a wire touching something and when it gets hot, it kills it, because i had a camaro that ran strait headers, and when i sat still for 2 long the car would die and not crank back till it cooled off, make sure the car isnt overheating either, cause a engine will choke itself out when it gets to hot if its idling, try the cat and check the wires and make sure its cooling right, when u find the prob drop me and like and let me know, im interested in this one, cause im not sure myself
