Oil Disapears!!!!!

I have a 95 Saturn SL2 twincam that is not appearing to burn oil nor is it leaking, but is going thru lots of oil. It is also powering out around 4,000rpm. I think that the problems might be related. Do any of you have idea's what the problem may be?

Thank you,
Splashpan

Re: Oil Disapears!!!!!

its burning it. sometimes a "MMO soak" will help, check over at saturnfans.com for a how-to.

can you go more in to detail about the "powering down"

Also change your PCV valve with one from the saturn dealership. and make sure you are not leaking oil around your valve cover. Especially the back half towards the firewall.

Saturns are one of the hottest burning motors on the market, a healthy engine can burn a quart of oil every 3000 miles this is comming from a formal saturn tech pulling me aside when he was impressed while having my headers connected at his shop.

HOwever your problem sounds like a problem, my guess is your MPG's are wacked right now. Do u have trouble starting when its cold? if so you probably have a leaky fuel injector(s) spraying when it shouldnt and leaking gass into the oil and causing it to thin and slip inot the combustion chamber. However if there is no smoke this may not be.
You might want to pull your spark plugs out and check them, you can tell alot about the health of your engine by how the spark plugs look.
