300z Rearend Torque Threshold?
So, what is it? How much power can the 300Z rearend handle. I ask because my Hardbody is either getting an sr20DET (mildly built) or a VK56DE, and I just would like to know what my upper limit is. I'm planning on getting an lsd rearend from a TT, is there anything I need to be aware of regarding these rearends? All comments and suggestions are welcome.

A TT rear end will handle more then either of those engines will ever make. Unless you are making 700+ lbs of torque you won't need to upgrade to a race differential.

Re: 300z Rearend Torque Threshold?
I am not sure if you have an 84-89 or 90+zx. All I know is the 84 -89 lsd not including the viscous coupling diffs will start to break the turbo halfshafts at about 500 flb of torque with slicks. I don't know if this helps but good luck.

That is exactly what I needed to know. I figured I would get nowhere close to its limit, but it is always good to know where the limit is so that you don't exceed it.
