Removing Governments
I wanted to know what did I have to do to remove the governers off my car. I have a 97'' Grand Prix SE and I wanted to know is there anyway I can by pass the governer or just simply remove it.

Re: Removing Governments
I was seek in GTP Diagramas and i was found a wire from ICM (Ignition Control Module) that is a speed sensor, mine was disconnected when my wiring harness was bad and the car goes up to 125+MPH with no problem and no speed limit.
But i buy the new wiring harness for it and the speed limit back to it ... I've ordered the DHP PCM to delete it and get some HP extras.

The best way to defeat the speed limiter on our cars is to get a reprogrammecd PCM. Not sure about the '97 SE, but the '02 GTP is limited to 126mph using the factory programming.

Re: Removing Governments
Do that improve the horse power too and would I be able to go to the dealer to get a reprogrammed PCM.

Re: Removing Governments
I like the title of this thread: Removing Governments
Seems highly appropriate. ;-)
