laser

hey guys' fresh kill :-)
ok, i'm at burgur king and we are all parked with our cars like usual, and my freind comes up to me and is like
"dude i got this guy to race you" (i don't normaly race i just go their but i race sometimes.)
i'm like "cool, what dose he drive?"
freind "'91 plymoth laser w/ boost controler intake headers exhaust and intercooler"
me "i dunno"
freind "come on you know you want to"
me "well where?"
freind "penny st."
me "it's worth a shot"
freind "sweet, i'll go tell em"
me "cool"
ok so we drive to penny st. and my freind jumps out and launches us.
take off and my first gear is really long (like 45mph) but i hit the gas way to hard and spin the tires (told ya i'm not the best racer) and i loose traction for like 1-2 seconds. he chirps his tires from the dig and in my first gear he hangs bye my front fender and slowly gains on me, then i hit second gear and take off but then hit 3rd (could have been 4th gear) and started to gain on me. (dang turbos have 2 be so fast, jk love the dsm) then for some reason i just start to pull on him and gain 1 1/2 car lengths and then shift into 3rd gear at 5800 rpm then just kept pullen from their till the end of the race, i won bye about 2-2 1/2 car lengths.
i'm so happy i'm sry i had to tell some1 and my girlfreind dosn't appriceat me doing that, ok i lied i skiped a date with her to go to the races. thought she would understand.
well thanx and sorry the race wasn't interesting but i had fun bye now :-)

Re: laser

with those mods the laser should be a 13 second car. Your stang should be mid to high 14's at best? But none the less good kill.

The lasers come with the 14b turbo im currently running in my car atm. A laser is just like a 1g gsx. They come awd and 14b turboed from the factory. Just like the gsx you add a boost controller, exhaust, intake its a 13 second car my friend.

Re: laser

I know about dsm's you dont need to tell me. But I dont think a 13 year old car with basically a boost controller and exhaust would run 13's just like that especially not a fwd dsm.

Kick back bro Im not trying to insult you. But yeah some lasers are awd some are fwd. The laser's weigh in close to 2800lbs full weight. With minor weight reduction and turning up the boost can easily run 13's with a good driver. Oh and the 14b turbo has gotten some 1gen dsms into the 11's. At worse the laser should be in high 14's which brings it to a close race between the 2 racing in this thread. Again good kill, but more than likely a good driver in the same laser would see past most 14 second mustangs*sorry but its true*

Re: laser

if it's so easily done then why is every modded dsm in the 13's with those mod's? because its not practical!

You and your "highly modded" dsm couldent even walk on a stock old ser sentra? but then again you walk a ws6...

Just some things that come from you sound real fishy to me alot.

Sorry but it's true.

Your not taking 1 think into consideration here bro. Im using the 14b turbo. Carrrnuttt has seen the upgrade at the last car show I was in next to my aunts black evo8 I sold her. When we raced I had the t25 turbo not the 14b I have now. And what im saying is that the 1st gens come with the 14b not the t25(t-too small) HUGE diffrence. So they can easily squeese into the 13's in the 1/4 from a dig. Just check out the dsmtuners.com and check some of the 14b turbo dsms into the 13's 12's and 11's. Some in which only have a boost controller hitting 13.8's. Yes not everyone can do it. But with a desent driver a laser can do at least mid 14's with the mods the stanggt guy posted.
