Strut mount replacements costs
I see alot of threads about noises in the Avalons. I too have a 96 that has a (low speed) rattle in the passenger side front. What is the avg. cost (dealer) for the strut mounts ?
Is there an aftermarket alternative ? Thanks for the time |

Re: Strut mount replacements costs
go to http://www.toyotaandlexusparts.com/ they have a whole catalog online of parts that are OEM replacements but cheaper than dealer parts.

replaced the fronts
cost me $850 parts and labor.
The rear needs it too...think they said it would be around $450. |

I was prepared to rebuild my struts, but had trouble getting all of the parts (esp rubber boots & isolators). Monroe now has quick-struts, pre-assembled strut, spring and mount, for about $170 each. Very easy to replace, I did all four in a few hours (problems with rusted bolts). Pep Boys has them, but you have to ask. The Monroe web site has more info, and will give you a printout with part numbers.
