Angry MK3 Wont Start

Hi,

My missus has a mk3 fiesta and it wont start, it is trying to turn over but not igniting. It is not the battery cus we have had that checked. I tried to jump start it from my car but it still wouldn't have it. I spoke to the previous owner who said she once had a similar problem and the AA came and rubbed something clean and then it worked fine???

Any ideas?

Thanks

Sounds like your starter is needing replaced. Wont cost too much if you get it cheap!

Just realised i cant edit my last post for some odd reason.

What i meant to say was you get it cheap if you buy it second hand from some scrap heap.

Re: MK3 Wont Start

Try taking off the air filter and starting it. Mine had the same problem and this worked a treat. However if this is the problem this means you either need a new air filter or your engine is knackered. You'll be able to start it this way for a while though but it may fail its next MOT
