Showdown...(Bimmer v Audi, cliff notes at bottom)

Im driving with my buddy Saturday night, going back to his place, and as we are heading down Beach, we pass the local rice contigent. There were some nice cars, a few that I know I would loose to (SRT-4, S2K, some other high enders), and I'm getting low on gas, so I decide not to provoke.

However, as we get to the open quasiresidential part of beach, I roll up on a black Audi of some sort. Small, four door, cant see badgin, and I don't know my Audis. Anyways, hes blasting Yellow Card, and in order to ward away the demons of fake punk, I crank up the Infected Mushrooms. He looks over, revs once, and I look over, and nod. Its definately on now.

So we pull up at the first possible light, going side by side the entire time, and actually stop, even though its yellow, and the road is empty. He revs once again, and I only watch the light. It goes green, and we both step on it. He has me through second, but not by more than a foot or so (my bumper is at his front wheels). However, when I hit third, I start to pull hard. At about 90, I hit fourth, and pull a length on him, and kill it at 115, I dont wanna risk a ticket. He gives the thumbs up, and turns off. I give him teh thumbs up back, but I dont know if he saw it. I'm getting my intake sometime this week, (Dinan CAI), and I hope I see him again.

Another notable part of the night happened a bit earlier, when a nicely modified 530i let me keep up with him, played a bit of cat and mouse, and then went from 110 to 60 when we saw a cop jump on the highway. Very fun, thumbs up all around.

Cliff Notes::
Saw a nice ass 530i (E39)
Saw an Audi, beat down Yellow Card with Infected Mushrooms, raced, won, thumbs up, good fun.

Re: Showdown...(Bimmer v Audi, cliff notes at bottom)

very nice

one question...going 115 around here isn't risking a ticket, it's a guaranteed ticket. call me crazy, but you're probably doing a little more than risking a ticket going 115.

either way, nice kill

Re: Showdown...(Bimmer v Audi, cliff notes at bottom)

Well, Beach street isn't a cop heavy area, not the part we were on. For sure 115 in a 40=Jail time, but it was late, and I didn't wanna risk the cops.

And ZackVtec, yeah, I know, I lvoe October Nights. I just dont like the new stuff they have. I listen to everything. Infected Mushrooms is kinda across the board with Ambient, Trance, and Psy/Goa Trance. I like Trance, Psy/Goa Trance, Ambeint, Happy House, Hard House, Chicago Club, Dance (Just about all types of techno), Punk, New Punk, Emo, Rap, Alt Punk (Offspring, Good Charlotte, New Blink stuff), Alt Rock, Classical (Carmina Burena=teh shit), etc...

Wow we have the same taste in music! Gotta love alt music and GOOD techno. Great kill. Just wish my girl wasn't so into pop-punk.

Have you heard "somebody told me" by the killers? They play it on the alt stations here in boston and it's got kinda a techno beat, can't help but floor it when that comes on, [/hijack].
