I changed the fuel pump in my 97 s-10 blazer it still won't start Why?
i just changed my fuel pump in my 1997 s-10 blazer and it still won't start anyone have any ideas why? i've heard there might be a reset switch but no one knows where

have you looked in your owners manual? did you checked all the simple stuff,gas, power to the pump? (not being smart, just trying to help)

check the relays to the pump, you can always jumper the power to the pump using the diagnostics plug (adld i think) plug.... Search for no start on www.blazinlow.com

an engine needs three things to run fuel air and spark. the air is always there so what u need to do next is see if fuel is getting to the engine that can be done by cracking open the fuel line turn the key on and if fuel comes out of the line then its got fuel. Next move to the spark he easiest way to check for spark is to pull a spark plug wire and a plug hook the wire back on the plug. Ground the plug on the motor and have a friend hit the key if there is a spark I cant help u if there isnt a spark then check your cap and rotor, coil and the module
the module is inside the distrubutor and takes about 5 minutes to replace. |
