town car shocks

What are the best rplacement shocks for a 1997 town car?
Are the front and rear shocks the same?

They are lots of shocks to choose from. I have Monroe Sensa-Tracs which are ok.

Do you want your car to handle better?

Or do you want just a comfortable shock?

These are some question you want to ask yourself which will help you with your final decision.

The rear shocks are different than the fronts. Also the rear shocks are a pain in the ass to remove and install ( the rear shock are mounted right above the rear axle and there is about a inch of space to work with to remove the top bolt). The fronts are not to bad, the bolts are visible in the engine bay and as long as you have decent ground clearance it should not take more than 20 mintutes for each front shock.
