speedometer cable

Hello,

i had a question regarding the speedometer of my 97 Galant 2.0GLX.
This evening i noticed that de needle was not moving.
Now i would like to know if the speedometer has a cable or an electronic sensor?

There are no fuses that indicate that the speedometer may be electronic, but i also can't find a cable that is leading to the gauges.

So if someone has any idea what the problem might be,please let me know.
