Which is an easier color change?

Ok so theres a tan 89 dx hatch for sale (it was a trade in and the dealer is waiting for the loan on the other car to clear) and it needs some work. The guy said 500-600 bucks would get me it as soon as the other deal is settled. I got the money and ill probably get it, but the car needs some work both inside and out. The paints rather crappy and i dont want to get it repainted the same color, so im trying to figureo ut which color change would be easier, white, silver, or gunmetal?

Re: Which is an easier color change?

either color really. regardless of the color, who ever paints it will have to sand down the factory paint/remove it completly and primer the car before any color base coat can be applied. cheapest of the three colors though would be white.

Re: Which is an easier color change?

just sand it all down and use a rattle can to paint it flat black for now, that is until you can afford a really good paint job, unless you already have the money

Re: Which is an easier color change?

color really doesnt matter, its preping and labor, specially if you want the door jams and engine bay done, which i hope you do cause its tacky if your cars white and the engine bay and door jams are tan

Re: Which is an easier color change?

I think gunmetal would be cool. And, yeah, if it needs some work and you're willing to work with it, sand, primer and paint all of it.

I'd rather have my car with a tan paintjob than a black primer job....cause im my opinion any painjob is better than primer!

but seriously there are way too many primered cars runnin round my town lookin like shit. Im either going to keep the stock color or get my color changed. No lag period inbetween.

That's not that bad. Hell, I'd take it and love it! The colors don't clash too bad...
