German vs. English
I have a 1998 323is and I am getting some "CHECK CONTROL" messages on my on board computer (the one that sits in front of the shifter and allows you to monitor outside temp, etc.). The problem is that the messages are in German and I don't know what "Bremslicht Elecktrik Betriebsanleitung" means...I was wondering if anyone knows of a setting or keystroke combination that will turn the messages into English or if that's even a possibility. Thanks.

You might want to try this. It works with the 7 series
1. Turn the ignition to position 1. 2. Hold the CC button (button on the dash [right])down for 10 seconds. Then the next language will appear. 3. Repeat this procedure untill you have the desired language. The available languages are: Engish UK, English US, French, German, Italian, Spanish |
