Would this work?
Alot of modified cars have tinted headlight sand I always thought it looked pretty cool. Do you think I could use some automotive tint and spray it on the headlights?

Re: Would this work?
do you have a pic/link to this spray on automotive tint. This is the first time I've heard of it.
I believe that some very light tint that you buy in a roll would work if it was very thin. Or you could try to spray some tamiya smoke over them. |

The FAQ said Tamiya smoke wouldn't work for tinting. I heard about spray tinta while ago on some forum. Where can I get tint film?

you can use tint film at most auto parts stores, or online.

Re: Would this work?
Did you looked for acetate sheets for projector ? (i'm sure you already seen this in school) Some of them are "black, but it's always transparent so that might be a good idea to try.

As long as the auto tint work on the real car plastic it should work on a model. But try on a scrap piece first, the parts tree from the particular model is a good one for starters. When it comes to the film I think it will be hard to get it to confirm to complex curves without wrinkles, so I'd go for the paint.

you can tint clear parts with future, just add a few drops of the color you want, using acryilic paint, into a bit of future, then dunk the part in it,
and if you mess up, you can strip it off with windex and try again http://www.swannysmodels.com/Tinting.html |
