I've had a 1995 Jimmy for about a year. It has 180K but runs good. About 2 blocks from home yesterday, it began to loose power, and by the time I got home was missing badly and backfiring. I've checked the plugs & tested the plug wires with a light - appears ok, but can't get the distributor cap off - even using a mirror! Would appreciate suggestions on what to do next. Also, do I need a special tool to remove/replace the s-belt?
Thanks for anyone's help. |

Re: 1995 misses & backfires
Hi,
It sounds like your vacuum advance line is off. It's located in front of the distributor, and because it's REALLY hard to get to, when you find it, and plug it back into the plastic piece, ZIP-TIE it !!!! I did and I'm a HAPPY CAMPER !!!!! |
