Strange noise???

I got a call at work yesterday from my brother saying that my car was making a strange noise. The weird part is that my car was parked at home and hadn't been driven since the night before. My neigbor told me it sounded like a short circuit type of sound. Personally i've neverd heard of a car making any sound when it's off but this is my first car so i don't have much experiece. Anyways i could really use some ideas as to what this could be?

Re: Strange noise???

maybe some water got in the electric or bugs crawled up in there and made it their home...lol

i guess bugs are a possibility cause when i opened my hatch today i found a nice big spider web so i'm gonna give the car a nice cleaning and see what happens.

Re: Strange noise???

Tiny little bugs would not make a noticible sound. Id check for a cat or a squirel stuck insomething. If you had a cat stuck in your radiator fan, and you drive around, not only could your car over heat, your going to cook kitty.

Re: Strange noise???

Maybe see if the wires are frayed connecting to the horn under the bumper. If not then follow the wire until you see damage, best I could think of.
