suck squish bang blow
Ive got a 97 tsi awd. Pretty much bone stock, intake Cb exhaust. Now im runnin 9.1 consistant in the 1/8th lowest 8.8. Now my question lies in the launch, I drop the clutch at roughly 6500 and it just shits and gets takin 1-2 cars out of the hole. I tried slipping the clutch a few times and I lost about 2 tenths total and .3 in 60 foot time. Im really just interested in how other people drive their awd's. Im not really worried about the drive train that much, if it blows it blows it will just sit in garage for a while.

I'm not sure if this is the best way to do it, but I've taken almost every car off the line using this method. I keep the rpms at about 5000, and feather the clutch out VERY quickly. It's almost like dumping the clutch, but it's not. Just feather it out very quickly. That works for me, and I haven't broken anything yet!

Ill try it not that Im worried about breaking stuff the drive trains for the awd's are exceptionally strong from what ive been seeing. i've got plenty of down time for this car to come anyway.

well i usually will let it out a little then just drop it and let her rip. Sometimes i just dump the clutch completly. But i dont like that method because i can smell more clutch that way sometimes.
