If it is like my 96 - the lite is in the button switch that you can lock out the OD with. If the lite is on - the OD is off or locked out. pushing the button turns off the lite and allows the transmission to shift into overdrive.

See if that works or is yours different??

The light does not want to turn off, it is like I am driving with emergency brake on.
