99 Camry door

My rear left door will not open from the inside and the only way to open it from the outside it to hit it with your knee and pull the handle at the exact same time. Dont ask how i figgerd that one out, but any advice would be much apreciated.

First thing to do would be to make sure your child-proof door open disconnect is positioned so that it allows you to open from the inside.

My child safety is off but it isn't that because that wouldn't affect opening it from the outside.

Could have been two separate problems.

Pull the inside cover and see if the mechanism is binding. Maybe the door position needs adjusting.
