What is that site that shows the washer / bolt trick for camber?

There was a site that had detailed instructions / pictures on how to adjust the rear camber on the 6th generation Civic's using the longer bolts and adding washers.

Anyone got this link bookmarked? I really need it now

Thanks!!

What a life saver you are

My question is:

The guy says 1 washer per inch, so what about a 1.5" drop? ...I wonder if they make thinner washers that would work

Thanks again!!

Yeah, they do make thinner washers, so if you can find thinner ones, try it. If not, I guess just go with one or two.

I went today to get the harware. The closest bolts I found were 50mm, not the 45mm recommended. I picked up 2 different sized washers since I have a 1.5" drop in the rear.
I know a guy who did this to his civic about a week ago. I don't see how this would cause any problems with the car.

why would you need new bolts though? wouldnt you just need new washers? or is it just a good idea to get new stuff while doing this?

I'm not sure how long the stock bolts are, but I would feel safer with bolts that were a tad longer to make up for the space the washers took up.

You just don't want the bolts to be too long.

I may check out another Home Depot to see if I can find the 45mm. Oh and the 50mm's I got..... Only 3, all the f**kers had

The guy at Home Depot also said to check Ace Hardware out. May stop by there as well

No offense man, but what the fuck are 3 bolts going to do for you? Seems like a waste, seeing as you might find 45mm bolts some place else...

And the reason you need the longer bolts is because you are sticking washers in there and spacing it out, which means the threads are not inserted as much and I would imagine you go too far, presto bolt rips out and so does your back end

Exactly, you need the extra length on the bolts to accomadate the new washers, the original ones won't be long enough. And the reason you're doing this is to correct too much negative camber, which can cause uneven tyre wear. Check the FAQ for more info on this!

If I find 45mm at Ace, these 50mm are going back. If the 50mm will work, I only need 1 and not all 4 now. But, I most likely will take them back and get the 45mm as suggessted :finger:

Yes it will work. Check out this link http://www.hondastyle.com/forums/sho...=&threadid=307

It shows a picture of the ingalls camber kit. Its basically the same setup.
The old bolts are not long enough to do this. So you need to either buy the kit or get new bolts & washers.
