cooling fan and wrong code sheet

Hey guys, on my 97 prelude thair are 2 sensors on the head for the coolent, one has one wire and the other is a bit further back with 2 wires, now my fan kicks on when i drive or when the igniton is on but not when i shut it off when the engine is hot, iv had the car for 6 months and its never came on with the ignition off and im damb sure it should when its hot, eny ideas? and both fans work,(wich one runs the fan?) i also have a check engine light on and its code 7 witch is supposed to be TPS sensor but when i jump the wire the tranny light flashes 8 times cuz its a auto, last time it did that it was infact the TPS sensor but my coolent gauge jumps around a lot and it has no reason to, my engine is hot as hell(not over heating) and the gauge will drop like 3/8's the slowly go back up??? i looked for a code sheet on the net and came up with two diffrent ones and they both say on the sheet that they apply to the 5th gen lude, one said it was the coolent sensor and the other one said it was the TPS, my only guess is to unplug the TPS and see if i get a diffrent code...if some one could find me the real code sheet for my car that would be really great, and please dont tell me to take it in cuz i absoulutly refuse too under eny sercumstances exept recalls,i have to take my car in tommorrow for the ignition recall switch replacment and im nervas as hell (first time takeing eny of my cars in) thanks for eny help guys
