Check engine light on '96 Mitsubishi Eclipse
My check engine light came on and I was having a slight loss of power accelerating in 2nd gear. I had it checked at Autozone and it said #1 cylinder misfire. I replaced all 4 plugs (but have not replaced plug wires) and the loss of power seems to be fixed but the check engine light is still on. ???

Re: Check engine light on '96 Mitsubishi Eclipse
Disconnect your battery and wait a few minutes, then reconnect it. That will turn the check engine light off. If it comes back on, then you'll know you didn't fix the problem!

You should do the wires at the same time as the plugs. Also try to replace the coil pack. I had to do mine.
