Re: custom tuned

I'd take Motorex's 'Big Bird' over either of those. Tyndago can tell you about that car. It's got quite a history, too.

Oooh oooh it's debate time! I like this part.

Black bird has about 80hp (claimed) more than I've got yet it is quoted here on its 0-60, and 0-100 times in a car that weights MORE than mine so thay are NOT possible.
The best I've ever been able to mannage is 4.2 seconds 0-60, yet Signal's is "est" at 3.3 with 150hp more hp and lighter than black bird. Humm seems some numbers are a WEEEEEEE bit off. Either way I would take Signal's R34 but since you can't "Legalize" an R34 in the USA right now I'll take my R32 thank you

And that's why I'd go with 'Big Bird.' Hopefully that one's a pre-'96 R33.

Why dont you think the 0-60 is 3.3 150 hp is a substanchal amount for a car. In the movie 2f2f before shooting the bbird ran off 550 on the dyno they said.

Re: custom tuned

All the Blackbird numbers are from a Road and Track article. They are not actual performance tested numbers.

Don't believe everything you read.

It was actually making about 400 whp - ran 0-60 in 3.9 secs , did the quarter in 12.2 @ 113(ish). - I went about 173 mph in it - off the Power FC - about 295 km/hr if you believe the speedo.

Big Bird was lots faster.

Signal...... signal......what they do in Japan - and what they do in the US are two different things.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Didn't it run something like a 10.7 in the 1/4 with 2530s and a 150 shot?

Big Bird - all stock motor - 2530's and direct port...

Did 7.0 @ 104 mph in the 1/8th - and 10.8@132 in the quarter one pass.

Fastest pass was 10.71 @ 137.75.

And previous to drag racing. It raced at Pikes Peak in 1999 and set the showroom stock record with Rhys Millen driving. It was in Fast and Furious.....

Re: custom tuned

I would take the Black Bird. Too bad it got raped after Leiberman bought it. When he bought it he changed the suspension to Gold Lines, a crappy brand, and then my friend made him look stupid. That was a funny moment.

If motorex was still legalizing the r34 could you get a replica of the bbird I heard it was an actual kit.

Again - dont believe everything you read. The Ohlins coil overs were always on the car..... maybe they changed the springs... but... easier to put a sticker than.
