Nissan 200SX 1984
Ok hey ya'll just here to introduce myself.
My name is Ziggy and I own a 1984 Nissan/Datsun 200SX Knotchback. It's in Midnight Azure atop a set of Enkei RT-6s, well was now it's on it's street tires as it waits to get it's new starter. The interior hass been stripped and all that is gone is the unecessary crap. Currently I have agreed with a friend of mine who does awesome body and frame work and he has agreed to help me in converting the front end and a partial segment of the rear to that of a Skyline R34. Basically I want to keep the spirit of my 200 but give it a Skyline appeal. The ca20e engine is due to be swapped out for that of a 240 alon with it's tranny. well now you know...the hard part is not the work the hard part is trying to find all the stock parts I need! Do you know that no junkyard in this area has a Gear Reduction starter for my car.

Engine?
Hey I'm pretty new to these forums but here goes. name's Inari, I have an 84 200sx too, Done the best I could with the car on the stock CA20E 2.0 L engine. I was wondering... Can't I tear that thing out and put something in there that'll pump her up a bit? People tell me to try the Turbo Equipped 1.8L engine but that's not much of an upgrade to me.. is it? Anyway. What engine would be compatable with my car? Am I dead in the water?

Re: Nissan 200SX 1984
I had the opportunity to work on a 1984 200sx Turbo 1.8L . The guy couldn't figure out the spark plug wires. Anyway, I loved that 5sp and the digital dash. It was also a hatchback and had a hood bulge. The car was a real sleeper! It has second gear scratch, which was unusual to me at the time. I'm actually trying to find one to buy myself, I liked it that much. Hope this helps -Chris
