Left some @$$hole in the dust...

Ok so I am driving home from Richmond (the one in british columbia, Canada), I am on this highway driving in the fast lane, slowly passing people on the slow lane. Then, I passed some old mercedes SLK, but for some reason he got angry, so he switched into my lane behind me and kept flickering his lights at me. I was thinking, what the hell is this asshole doing? What does he want? He quickly went back into his lane, then my friend sitting on the front passenger seat flipped him the bird, and so did I. I also flash my hazard lights hoping he would just f*ck off.

After that, he came back up behind me, this time he is tailgating me so I keep tapping the brakes so he would back off, but...he doesn't!!! Instead he just ignores it and just keeps following me continuing to tailgate me. I try to get him off me so I slowed down 30km's on a 60k road for a while, but this prick is really persistent!!!

I keep changing lanes and he just keeps following me, so I try to get in front of a pick up truck and leave no room for him to get behind me, and I was safe, until the truck let him through, then I went on with my lane changing and him following my car close by hoping to rid him...

I then thought of an idea, there was no traffic in front of me after this intersection so I decided to go really slow, then mash the throttle, so I slowed down to 20ks, then I floored it, ZOOM right past a green light, until my speedometre was at 135ks or so, then his headlights were the only thing I could see in my rearview as he seemed to be miles behind me. Then I just make a few turns at the intersection just to make sure this pr!ck doesn't touch me. Finally, after all this, I let my friend drive us both home, and I live to tell you this today . About the guy following me, I think he gave up, because I couldn't possibly have smoked him.

If you all want to know, I drive a 93' Toyota Corolla wagon, I know it isn't much compared to what some of you may have, but it is more than enough horsepower for me.

So what do YOU guys think? How many of these @$$holes have you met before?

As said, too many. There are too many out there to never have a run-in with someone. Just gotta be smart about it. Like flipping the loser the bird i wouldn't suggest, but you went about it right in slowing right down and all that.

Glad you lost him, that could've turned out very badly if he had a gun or something.

Hehe, my 93 corolla WILL be fast as hell, it's gonna be my project car when I go back to school.

But seriously, what the hell are these people's problems? Just cuz they drive a car that does everything for them doesn't make them the top.

it doesn't, but who ever's driving thinks it does. that's why people in really expensive cars get super pissed whenever they lose (see the vette vs. WRX vid...nuff said).

it's always fun freaking the ricers out...i'm not gonna say my car is fast, but it can edge out wins vs. riced Cavaliers and Neons (base models obviously...i don't wanna know what an SRT would do to my car). seeing the look on their faces after they see they got beat by a rolla is great...i can only imagine what they'd look like if a Rolla wagon beat em...lol

Hehe she does make a good sleeper, I have the wrx vs vette vid, but I didn't see the part where he gets beat up.

BTW, what mods do you got on your car?

Re: Left some @$$hole in the dust...

I have a story like that. my friends and I were skating a School at night. I pulled my car up on this walk way so we could listen to some tunes while skating. we were there for like 30 mins when a kid in a ricer came up to me and told some guy in a white chevy cav is calling the cops on us. so me and my friends jump in the car and start to leave. This guy got right up on are ass. I was hoping he couldn't read my plate or anything. I took him down a shit load of side streets. I lost him for a sec around a turn so i pulled into a drive way and turned off my lights and car. he drove right by trying to find my car. thank god we got away from that asshole.

right now i only have a header and cat-back with the stock cat. i'm expecting to get my Ractive SRI within the next few days and i'll have that on by Saturday.

next couple things on my to do list are hi-flow cat and underdrive pulley.

o yea...i got a story sorta like that too micro excpet the cop was the one chasing me. not gonna go into details because i've heard things about cops visiting us sometimes, but it was a pretty good one

If you had friends on your car why didn't you lead the asshole into a dark alleyway and beat the shit out of him?

The only mods you got are headers and exhaust? and by saturday you will get an intake?

How can you outrun a cop car with a lightly modded corolla?

Re: Left some @$$hole in the dust...

Outrunning cops isn't all horsepower...I've seen bikes that do 0-60 in under 3 seconds try and lose a cop and fail miserably. And just the same I've seen 4dr 130hp 15 year old sedans outrun cops. It depends where you're driving, how you're driving, traffic, and lots of other things.

Yeah of course, but I am talking about like in a straight line, most of us aren't professional drivers so we need to compensate for the lack of skill with horsepower.

i didn't outrun him in a straight line...corners, long driveways and darkness are your best friends if your trying to lose the fuzz
