What is the best winter beater car when you store you bird for the winter?

i use a 91 cavalier but im thinking of changing that soon to something a little safer....any suggestions to those that apply?

what about an older model dodge intrepid. I have a 96 intrepid and it's a good ride, has good gas mileage, and doesn't look half bad.
