Strange new noise...
I just noticed a weird noise today with my Grand Am. It's a 2001, V6, 3.4L. When I stop, something is making a kind of clicking or tapping noise that is even with the speed of the tires (it gets slower as the tires slow). Then, whenever I get ready to take off again, I've slightly lifted my foot off the brake, and underneath my brake pedal, or the brake pedal itself makes a kind of a creaking noise. Any idea what that could be? Also, I had my car in park and turned my wheel and as my tires moved I slightly heard the tapping then also.

Re: Strange new noise...
You feel it in the brake pedal? If so I'd say it's the rotor rubbing something. Could possibly be a bearing or loose wheel if you notice it when turning the wheel in park. Just my $0.02
