how many h22s are there?

I know it sounds dumb but how come I see some h22s being sold w/ blue valve covers, and some with red? I know that the black ones are h22a's but do the jdm ones look the same as the usdm ones? and what exactly do you do when emmission time comes? just pay alot and get a waiver? cause when dude puts it on the rollers (I mean my civic) hes gonna know somethings not right. but really h22s, h22a's , h22a4's I mean are there any pitfalls I should avoid when it comes to selecting an H? cause seems to me a normal rinky dink 95 h22a usdm with a cheapy shot of nitro should be more than enough to satisfy my cravings for power shouldnt it?

The ones you see with blue valve covers are h22 euro-r's and/or f20b's. The red valve covered h22's are h22 type-s' w/220hp

i thought there were no real bluetop h22's. the only dualcam vtec motor to come with a bluetop stock, is the f20b from the jdm sir... and both the euro-r and type-s have red tops.

or maybe people just bought the blue/red valve covers that are all over ebay and put it on. check the engine code to be sure.
