I have posted this message 3 times, either I am brain dead or dont know how to use the site or both.....anyway....I have a 1992 geo metro...has 65000 miles on it....starts like a champ....when I first got it it hesitated at 35-40 miles and hour...anything below or above was fine....now however at 15 miles an hour it hesitates and when I try to speed her up it is like she doesnt want to kick in and go and makes a sound like I have her in park and I am gunning the engine....after driving her around some that stops and she finally lets go....question...could it be the fuel filter, or catalystic converter.....I know she needs to be looked at, but I dont want to run the risk of getting ripped off again...took her in for all new break job and axle replacement that cost me over 1000 dollars, thats more than shes worth...so if I could get a heads up on possibilities of problems before I take her in all the better...if it is just the fuel filter, I can get that done myself....already did the whole maintence thing with plugs rotar and wire.....

what about the automatic tranny fluid and filter condition? get new fluid in there and change the filter and see if anything changes.

As a part of the full maitenance, beside spark plugs, cables and rotor, I would recommend distributor cap, air/gas filters and complete gas system cleaning (advise not to use those bottle treatments 'cause they damage the filter and drop dirty particles on the injectors or carburator's niddles).
