Adding DS Power Sliding Door
What would be required to add a power sliding door to a Venture/Silhouette/Montana minivan? Do I just need the drive mechanism or do I also need to replace interior panels?
Other things that I would need would be: 1) Overhead switch (optional) 2) Door column switch (optional) 3) Remote with dual door buttons (optional) Is the wiring harnesses already there? Would the remote receiver recognize the new door? As far as that goes, I could open both doors with any of the buttons. Just thinking out loud... Has anyone done this? Thanks, SN95GT50 |

Re: Adding DS Power Sliding Door
if your van doesn't have this option, then the wiring harness is NOT there. Chevrolet skimped on this, they did not use any wire they didn't need.

Re: Adding DS Power Sliding Door
i wonder if you could put the hard wear in and then tap of the other door they would work at the same time but with two kids that would be great

Re: Adding DS Power Sliding Door
That would be kinda fun if you had one door open and the other closed...
Electronics I can handle, my bigger concern is the motor to drive it and the mounting, also the sensors, I wouldn't want to decapitate a kid. SN95GT50 |

Re: Adding DS Power Sliding Door
i was thinking that you could get the motor and stuff need off another venture and then just tap of the other door but the only down side would be the doors would open the same time and close at the same time
