Tamiya Spraywork Paint Stand?

I had tried to ask this before but the thread was too old, so I didn't bother. I have heard nothin but good things about this, but I wasn't sure if the stand was actually able to rotate, or do you have to rotate it by hand? As in picking it up, turning it, and then putting it back down?

Thanks in Advance!

Re: Tamiya Spraywork Paint Stand?

I have a spray work stand, and the rotating is really nice when using an airbrush. However, most of my body painting is done from a can, so I usually just use the the bit that holds the body shell seperate from the base (they detach). I just hold it and spray the body as if it were a coke bottle, which is how I did it before. The real value with this thing, in my estimation, is that I can stick the body back on the base and it holds it nicely, and the other half, the base with the holes for sticks and clips, is great for holding small parts while they dry. I love the spray work stand, but notice, I don't really use it as intended.

Re: Tamiya Spraywork Paint Stand?

Who says you have to use things as they're intended? Apple Barrel acrylics were meant to be brushed on, not airbrushed. Do I listen? Heck NO!

Thanks!
