Decisions, decisions!!!
Hi everyone,
I have a white, quad cab, 4X2, 2000 Dodge Dakota with a 5.9 V8. I am looking to do something to it, but cannot decide what. The options I am running are: airbag suspension and possibly new rims, shaving the door handles, and exhaust and intake. I am not to fond doing anything with the suspension, just because I do not really want to change the look of my truck in that way. New rims are more a possibility, but they are something I may do sooner or later anyway. The exhaust and intake, I am somewhat hesitant to do for a few reasons. One being that since I got the the truck, I have had a few things go on it mechanically. Also I am not really comfortable doing something like that, when I do not know if it could have any detrimental effects to the rest of the engine. Thus I am left with shaving the door handles. This was my first idea and the one that I prefer above all others. I was thinking to shave the door handles and also, get an auto tailgate drop/tonneau lift installed. With that said, I will ask if anyone has anything to contribute to my debate. Also about prices for the mods listed above. Thank you much. |

Re: Decisions, decisions!!!
For me, exhaust is a must. The pipes must bark! Thrush of course.
Rims have to be shiny rims. I don't like big rims. Windows have to be very dark, it helps in summertime, and makes the car look like a limo. All my vehicles have 5% on the back window and 20% on the sides with the exception of my Turismo, it has 5% all around and you can't see the mirrors on the doors, it's too dark in the car. Hood scoops and stainless steel look good, but they don't do anything functional. I have about a dozen red lights all over the truck, but you don't see them until they get turned on at night... I would like to put linelock in my truck, because i like to spin my tires but I'm lazy. Above all, it has to look good, I don't care about performance in a nice looking vehicle. You wouldn't guess that my truck has a six cylinder by looking at it, but it's supposed to be driven slow anyways so everyone can see it. The ugly vehicle is the one you want to be fast, so nobody ever suspects it...
