Need help with vacuum problem

Hi, I've just noticed that the purge valve on my '91 525i has no vacuum line connected to it! The other line that goes to the charcoal canister is present. In the manual, it states that the vacuum line runs to the intake manifold, but I can't seem to find any disconnected hose or open spigot on the manifold. If somebody has a similiar model, could you tell me where yours is? Maybe the purge valve isn't supposed to be connected to a vacuum? @#$!!?

THanks, Jason

Re: Need help with vacuum problem

the fitting you seek is on the throttle houing [hard to see] at the lower forward corner next to where it bolts to the intake. pull off the intake boot and idle valve and hose for access. you can make a 4mm [ID] piece of vacuum hose work but it hard an formed elbow hose originally...happy hands........jb.
