2 second brake light question

I have a 2003 Cavalier and the brake and signal light have gone out. The signal inside goes twice as fast now and I don't know if this is because the bulbs are burnt out. Anyway, I go the brake bulb out, but how does the signal light bulb come out? Just pull or? Don't want to break it and it seems fragile.

Not sure how to get them out in an 03 but in my 01 you have to twist then pull. and when your blinker goes two times as fast that means you have a blown blinker. could be front of back.

The most likly reason for the blinker going twice as fast is a short in the wiring. A "blown" blinker will not flash at all. The excess current going through the short heats up the element faster and causes the flash rate to be faster. Check for water intrusion in the light housing, this can short one out at the socket. Good luck.

Re: 2 second brake light question

hey my blinker and taillight housing went out in my 03 and i just took it back to the dealer since it is under warrenty and they fixed it. they said that they have replaced alot of those. only one went out, but they fixed both of them. so i would just go to the dealer and have them fix it for free, unless u r going to get some euros or somethin
