and as far as no brakes go..I ride my fixed gear in the city everyday with no brakes...so I can handle this....far less tricky on the open road

when you say "fixed gear" what is that? i thought it ment you had to stay in one gear in a car with no breaks...lol... now im thinking something like a bike ... the small ones with one gear .... (yes i know )

I fixed gear is when you are just in ONE gear and ALWAYS in one gear. Its almost kinda like the bikes you ride at the gym. Most of you are probably used to being able to pedal and then be able to coast without pedaling. Well you can do that because you have a freewheel. Well with a fixed gear, you ahve to pedal all the time. Like if you want to just coast, the pedals are still going to keep moving.
