I recently put after market rims on my new 04' Tahoe LT and I was unable to put the tire pressure sensors into the new rims resulting in the "Check Tire Pressure" alarm. Is there some way to disable or fool the tire pressure monitoring system to satisfy the idiot alarm?

tire pressure warning
I don't know how, but if you find out could you please let me know. Also, did your Tahoe have the sensors for 17" wheels? I had 16" wheels and got the 17"s put on. I would be very interested in buying those sensors from you if you're not doing anything with them. I've been told that if I simply put on any 17" sensors, that my warning light will go away.
Thanks so much, here is my contact info. [email protected] my toll free number is 1-866-331-7995 |

Re: 04' Tahoe Disabling Tire Pressure Monitoring System
I put 18" Akuza Bounce rims on my Tahoe. I would ask more questions around the braking maint. that might increase due when the size of the rims and tires are increased to a 24" rim. Talked with a Brake service place and they said they are doing a full brake jobs on SUV's once a year that have 20"+ size rims. Have you heard anything similar?
