NA b20? Worth it

been reading alot about the b20 build up and everyone seems to prefer it over the c5 if you run a turbo.I already have a c5 in my hatch and was wondering if i swapped my top half on to a b20 can I expect gains if i wanted to stay na or would that just be a waste. I have most of the bolt on's already on the c5 (flywheel, clutch, intake, exhaust, camgears, ignition) . What kind of hp and tq gains could i expect if any. I really want to stay all-motor..need some input for my right foot. Thanks

if you put the type r head on your b20 and up the cr to 11.5 like the type r then you will put out more hp. but if you do a crvtec then it would be better to get a aftermarket ecu so you can add the amount of fuel required because stock ecus dont have the mapping for a motor like that, plus with the aftermarket ecu you will get more hp out of it because no stock ecu is get the best power out of it

I must ask, Witch b20? B20a,b,z. The b20b has the thin sleeves (if you wanna call them sleeves), and with high compression, they are very likely to crack. You can go to the b20vtec website for detailed info if you want. You could run a low boost application (Like I'm going to) or a crvtec, both of those will give you some power increase over stock. I would not increase the compression to 11.5 though, unless you're getting it sleeved. And then, its kinda useless to spend the extra on a b20 block. Swapping a b16 head would be just fine though, it will have more torque and the c5 head will give it a definate pick me up in the hp section. All the torque you're gonna make just makes the car fun. The stock b20 only rev's to 6200, with the head you can bring that up a bit, and with vtec, you can keep the torque and get some horsepower up top.
I did a little looking around, and it seems like 130ft/lbs and 160whp is not hard at all to acheive with a crvtec. Go on google and just search for crvtec dynos, seems like lots of people can make these numbers easy.
