Question Adding XM Radio to your OEM XM Ready Stereo

Hello, New guy here.
Does anyone know if you can add xm radio to the factory stereo on my 2003 silverado? I don't want one of those displays.
I have the bose 6 cd changer stereo head unit (XM ready).
I have bought a xm tuner and modulator and antenna from a salvaged gmc and I don't know if it will work. Does this just plug into my stereo or is it locked to the original vehicle?
If anyone can help I will very much appreciate it.

THANKS AGAIN

Its locked to the original truck, but I believe you can have it programmed by the dealer.. if you can find one to do it for you..

Can I asked what you paid for the complete XM setup out of the wreck?
any chance you know of another setup like the one you bought (I am looking )

I paid $100.00 for everything- The antenna, cable, tuner, modulator, etc...

Let's just hope I can get it to work.

I'll let you know
