Im doing a swap and dont know what tranny to use

I am putting a st185 in my 90 gts and i have no idea what i should use for a transmission. If i should keep the one that is in there or if the V6 camry trans will bolt right up to the engine.

im running a little slow today so i dont remember which engine the st185 is.....anyway if you use an all-trac engine(3S-GTE) then you have two good options.

1.) Find an all-wheel drive tranny and get a new rear axel to accomodate the AWD feature.

2.) Use a MR2 tranny....(yes i know it is RWD, but the engine was in the back so it will fit in perfectly to make a FWD celica Turbo)

If he uses the 86-89 GTS celica trans he needs to move the starter.. You could use your tranny just make sure to ask for a 5sfe clutch and 3SGTE pressure plate. ACT or Centerforce knows about this. Your clutch will do fine up to around 350hp then something might break.
