Re: 3rd Gen Tail Lights?

no i didn't break my tail lights, i just wanted to replace them with some aftermarket lights, but since there isn't i guess my only choice is to get the smoked colored lense for my lights, quick question are black out tail lights legal in california?

Re: 3rd Gen Tail Lights?

They aren't legal in any of the states I've lived in and I still see tons of them on the road.

Re: Re: 3rd Gen Tail Lights?

The problem with the rear black outs on the 3rd gens is that they can be taken off from the outside. I had them on my '86 for about a week before they were stolen. I know where your coming from though, 3rd gen tail lights are butt ugly!

Re: 3rd Gen Tail Lights?

I dont like that corvette trim piece at all. It would be different if you molded it into the back of the car but it looks stupid on the sides cuz theres a seam where the original tail lights normally start.

I think my iroc grid tail lights look just fine. Maybe upgrade to a set of those if you like them too.

Re: 3rd Gen Tail Lights?

well if you're good with body work you can fill those seams in to make it look right.

tacoma, i'd assume they'd have a harness since they have a whole package or just trimpiece option, never hurts to ask em tho.
