? replacing drum brake pads on 95 sub
Ive always replaced the front disk on my cars and trucks and have never tried to replace the rear drum brake pads... I promised my kids I would take them camping this weekend and noticed last night that the rear pads need to be replaced so tonight Ive got to tackle this job on my 95 sub and wanted any pointers instructions anyone might be able to provide... When I picked up the pads at lunch I also picked up the package with the replacement springs...
Thanks for any guidance... |

Not too difficult as I recall, just do one side before you dismantle the other so you can take a peek at the original if you need a memory refresher. The springs and wires can get a bit confusing if you're not careful.
Be careful to get the shoes the right way round - there should be a front shoe and a rear and it's easy to get them on backwards if you're not paying attention. Good Luck. |

One additional warning. This is a heavy vehicle! Do not just use a floor jack under the pumpkin (or any other jack) to support it if you plan on changing one side while looking at the other for reference. Make sure you use jack stands to support the vehicle.
