Unhappy 2001 Tahoe problems

I have a 2001 Tahoe with 40,900 miles on it I bought new in 2001. I have had problems with a bad battery cable, the a/c has gone out last summer and just this past week again, (it needed a new fan switch last year, and this week it needed a fan clutch), and they also had to replace both rear brakes (drums and pads) for excessive pitting this week. I have spent over $700 on a newer vehicle with a "bumper to bumper" warranty just this week. I am so disappointed because this vehicle fits my needs perfectly!!!! Has anyone else had these problems? Oh yes, and the door hinges are rusting and I have tried WD40, and coating them with graphite and it doesn't help.
