Question 84 Bose Stereo, Setting the Clock

Hello, does anyone knows how to set the clock on a 84 Bose Stereo? Becasue I have been trying and trying, and trying and trying, all kinds of combinations, with the buttons, the knobs, with the key on and off, but still, it doesnt seems that Im doing the right thing. Thanks a lot.

I got this out of my '85 owner's manual. It came with a Delco Radio with the Bose Sound System (speakers with integrated amplifiers)

If you have the ETR-VF AM-FM W/Cassette, try this;
Ignition on,radio off. Press the SET button and release, the SET light will light up and the radio frequency will appear. Then press the SCAN button, holding SCAN in until the proper/correct hour appears. To set minutes, press the SEEK button, holding SEEK in until the proper minutes appear. (you might have to continuously press the button to get the hours and minutes to move if holding the button doesn't work)

If you have a Bose Receiver, I'm not sure if these steps will work.
Good Luck
Mike

Hey guys, have you ever seen an early C4 with an in-dash LCD screen with dvd player? Those screens are kinda cool, do they fit right? Or do they need some cutting here and there?. Thanks

I have an '84 with a Bose Stereo, mine can be set the same way Mike mentioned. :-( Your are saying you have no "set" button next to your 4th memeory button??

I wonder if mine is original then... :-(

From what I've read in various supply books, these radios where the same from '84 to '89. I removed mine 2 years ago after losing 3 of the 4 Bose Amplifier/speakers and not wanting to pay $139.00 each for rebuilt models. The radio unit itself had been repaired in 1989 (rebuilt and replaced before I accqired the car) and its a $200.00 repair bill for a rebuilt/exchange unit.

So perhaps dannyC4 doesn't have the original equipment radio if he doesn't have the same faceplate layout.
